My Photography Philosophy
Photography is a craft I have embraced over the last twenty five years as I've served imagery in a variety of mediums. Having a camera in my hand is how I express myself the best, in doing so, the joy abounds me. I view photography as an art that celebrates what is, versus curating something to make someone feel editorial. I admit, that can be fun at times, though I feel it does a disservice in celebrating your authentic life. It is my desire to photograph clients in settings and styles that are deeply personal and meaningful to them. I prefer to capture clients in their natural forms, engaged in activities they normally would do, dressed in what makes them feel the most at home, and in places that they cherish and that hold meaning for them. With the rise of social media, I am sad that our photographs live online and on our phone. I want to fill your walls with frames and albums that will rest on the shelves of your home at the end of a long life. These pictures aren't for me, they're for you. I handle things differently...
Faith-centered
As a follower of Jesus and a believer that God is perfect and is our perfect designer - I believe his word in the Bible to be true and beautiful. This includes what he says about you. He says that when you were formed, your life began at conception and you were intentionally knit together in your mother's womb. You were designed to be set apart - you are God's handiwork and he loves you deeply. I celebrate the you God designed. He makes no mistakes, everything about you was set with intention and purpose. He beams at his creation of you.

Documentary Style
Real moments captured naturally and candidly, while making sure there's the classic cameo portraits. All of my galleries are customized to fit the style and personality of each client I am photographing. I'm more interested in being a butterfly on a tree while letting you and those you love make real memories. I'd love if you forgot I was there and only remembered being together with those you cherish.
Limited Dates
I limit the amount of sessions I take in a season to ensure the clients I take on are a really great fit with my personality and my creativity so I can provide high-quality detailed attention and personalized galleries. This helps me to preserve my creative energy while also delivering my absolute best for those I am blessed to serve.
